Czechoslovakia (Special) - The Cincinnati Stingers, concluding their play in the
international hickey tournament here Tuesday, became involved in a free-for-all with the
Czechoslovakian National team and left the ice in the third period. Coach Jacques Demers

period but couldn't sustain the pressure. Czechoslovakia scored first, but center Rich
Leduc boosted the Stingers to a 2-1 advantage with a pair of goals scored in the span of
about one minute. Czechoslovakia scored again late in the first period for a 2-2 tie.
Defenseman Serge Beaudoin was speared in the second period, but when he went after his
attacker he was give a 10 minute penalty. The Czechs used the power play to advantage as
they scored five goals to put the game out of Cincinnati's reach. Dennis Abgrall scored
the third Cincinnati goal.
Norm LaPointe started in goal for the Stingers, but rookie Mike Luit
finished up in the third period, entering the game with the score 11-3. Newly acquired
veteren Ernie Wakely had been sscheduled to start in the net for Cincinnati Tuesday but he
is still nursing a groin pull. Other Stingers with minor injuries are Robbie Ftorek, Del
