Abgrall's two-way play last year led to 23 goals and 39 assists for 62
points. he is not afraid of going into the offensive corners to dig the puck out to throw
it to wither a centerman or his left winger. Abgrall finished second in the rookie scoring
derby behind New England's George Lyle. He also finished second behind Lyle in the voting
for the Rookie of the Year. While in Czechoslovakia during training camp with the Stingers
in September, Abgrall was hustled off to the Czechoslovakian Police Station and kept there
for three hours after he unknowingly took a photo of the police building. After three
hours of explanation by Czechoslovakian interpreter, the misunderstanding was cleared up
and Abgrall was released. iiiiii

Named the Captain of the Cincinnati Stingers in August of
1976, Dudley was the leading point getter for Cincinnati two years ago with 81 points,
including 43 goals. Last season, Dudley scored 41 goals and 47 assists for 88points and he
was fourth in scoring for Cincinnati behind Sobchuk, Stoughton and Leduc. He is a
tremendous two-way hockey player with aggressive fore-checking and back-checking being two
of his best qualities. For the past twelve months Dudley has become a total vegetarian
eating no meat what so ever. While in Czechoslovakia for the Stingers training camp,
special arrangements were made so that Dudley would be served vegetables for every meal.
Dudley was named Player of the Month by the local news media in December last year. Dudley
was selected to the second WHA All-Star team by the news media at the end of the 1976-77
season. |

The 6'/2" 215 lb. Beaudoin has played his last 2 years with the Phoenix
Roadrunners of the WHA. Last year with Phoenix Beaudoin amassed 136 penalty minutes while
scoring 6 goals and assisting on 24 others. The 24 year old Beaudoin had been traded to
Phoenix in December of 1974, along with John Migneault and Peter McNamee by the Vancouver
Blazers in exchange for Hugh Harris. Prior to the trade that sent Serge to Phoenix, he had
spent 3 years with the Blazers organization after having spent his junior career with the
Three Rivers Dukes of the QJHL. Beaudoin is a native of Montreal.

The Stingers obtained Robbie Ftorek from the Phoenix Roadrunners in April of
1977. Two years ago Ftorek became the first American born player ever to score over 100
points and also accumulate over 100 penalty minutes in the same season. Last year Ftorek
was named the "Most Valuable Player" of the entire WHA even though he stands
only 5' 8" and weighs 152 lbs. He finished fourth in league scoring with 117 points
on the strength of 46 goals and 71 assists while playing for a team that had virtually
been eliminated from the post-season Playoffs by the middle of January. Ftorek and
teammate Claude Larose made hockey history in early October with the announcement that
both Ftorek and Larose will wear number 8 for Cincinnati this season.. |

Twenty-eight year old Del Hall joined the Stingers, along with Robbie Ftorek,
last summer. In coming over from Phoenix, where Hall has played in the last two years, he
has cored 47 and 38 goals respectively while playing on the same line as centerman Robbie
Ftorek. For four years previous to Del's two years with the Phoenix Roadrunners, he played
in the California Golden Seals' organization. Over a two year span while with the
Roadrunners, Hall was very instrumental in Phoenix's .500 record versus the Stingers by
scoring 17 goals in 12 games. His addition to the Stingers roster this year provides
tremendous depth on the left side for coach Jacques Demers. Hall began wearing a helmet
this year. |

In only his second year of major league experience, LaPointe was the Stingers
number one goaltender throughout the 1976-77 season. He tied a league record by
registering back to back shutouts in December of 1976 against Phoenix and Minnesota. He
was the number 2 draft choice from the Quebec ajor Junior Hockey League in the 1975
amateur draft and spent his first year with the Stingers' farm club, the Hampton Gulls. .......... ........
