Andrascik signed with the Stingers before the 1974-75 season, after having
spent time in the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. He was a leading scorer for the Calder
Cup Champion Hershey Bears with nearly a point per game during the 1973-74 season. Last
year, Steve played with the Indianapolis Racers and the now defunct Baltimore Blades, on
loan from the Stingers. |
|
The Stingers acquired Serge from the Quebec Nordiques during the summer of
1975. During his three year stint with Quebec, Aubry posted a very respectable 3.72 Goals
Against Average. He is expected to carry much of the load "between the pipes"
for the Stingers this season.

"Soupy" was acquired this past summer from the Calgary Cowboys
(formerlt the Blazers), and will add immeasurable depth down the middle for the Stingers.
His smooth skating and fine stick handling will be a key factor in the Stingers' drive to
a play-off position, and head coach Terry Slater feels that the line of Rick Dudley, Bryan
Campbell and Gary Veneruzzo will prove to be "very explosive" throughout the
season.

After winning the hearts of thousands of Cincinnati fans while playing in the
Queen City during the early 70's with the Swords, Rick departed for a two year stint in
Buffalo with the NHL Sabres. During that time he won the Most
Improved Player Award bith years, and was considered the "spark plug" who got
things going when the Sabres were flat. His colorful, aggressive style of play, coupled
with his fine scoring ability is a combination that Stingers fans will once again applaud
throughout the season. |

Pierre was obtained by the Stingers from the Michigan Stags in December of
1974. Although a leg injury kept Guite out of the line-up for the last half of the season,
he will be counted on heavily by coach Slater this year, for his scoring ability and
"no holds barred" style of play. Although a leg injury

|
A number one draft choice two years ago, John is a rugged defenseman who
played his junior career with the Toronto Marlboros of the Ontario Major Junior
"A" League. On loan by the Stingers to the Phoenix Roadrunners last season, his
steady play was a key factor in their play-off finish. In accumulating 201 minutes worth
of penalties, Hughes was second only to Gord Gallant, now of Quebec, who totaled 203 while
with the Minnesota Fighting Saints. |
