| Some young
hockey fan is going to be chosen as the honorary stick-boy for the new Cincinnati Stingers
team coming this season. The winner will be selected in an essay contest being sponsored
by The Enquirer, Frisch's and The Stingers. Any boy or girl who is 17 years of age or
younger can enter by saying in 25 words or less why he or she would like to serve as
honorary stick boy. The winner will receive a color television
set and two tickets to all the Stingers home games. Second through fifth prizes will be
transistor radios and the next 24 best entries will get a $5.00 Frisch's gift certificate.
Everyone who enters the contest will receive two tickets to the Stingers vs New England
Whalers hockey game on November 9, at the Coliseum.
The real stickboy for the Stingers is responsible for keeping the
players' hockey sticks in order and seeing to it that broken ones are replaced. The
honorary stick boy will have very little work to do but will be able to attend all the
games, talk to the Stingers players and pick up hockey tips. All entries must be on the
official entry blank below. Additional copies may be picked up at The Enquirer Information
Center or at any Frisch's restaurant. |
